Bearing units with plain bearings are so-called dry bearings, which means they do not require any lubricant for reliable operation. Plain bearings continue to impress with their high rigidity and fatigue strength, are corrosion-resistant and can also function in liquids. Even UV radiation and fluctuating temperatures cannot harm the pedestal bearings with plain bearings, just like dirt or dust. Another advantage: by using technical plastics for the plain bearing, the bearing units are capable of absorbing vibrations and dampening oscillations. UCP pedestal bearings have two "wings" on the housing that are provided with holes. In this way, the UCP pedestal bearing can be easily fixed by means of two screws. Forces acting on the bearing housing are thus safely diverted. Dismantling of the UCP bearings is also quick and easy and can be done in a very short time. UCP bearings are often used in machine and vehicle construction, in the agricultural sector or in conveyor and pump technology.
